RACHEL'S Hometown: Grand Rapids, Michigan
From a young age, Rachel showed a passion for sports and competition. She was a competitive gymnast for 11 years, competing all over the midwest. Her parents realized her massive potential and put her in recreation soccer leagues at a young age. The rest is history.
Rachel has been playing soccer competitively for 11 years. She played on a travel team for two years and then went on to play for her middle school and high school. Fun fact: Rachel once scored 6 goals in a single game her freshman year. In high school, Rachel played all four years on varsity, winning the MVP award her senior year.
She has continued playing soccer through the Loyola University Women's Club soccer team, helping her team reach the 2014 Regional Tournament for the first time in school history. Rachel also participates in Loyola's Club Basketball and Club Volleyball and holds a job at the school's athletic department. Rachel plans to graduate from Loyola in May of 2016 with a degree in Advertising and Marketing.
Rachel has been coaching kids in soccer- as well as basketball and volleyball- for four years now and joined our team last Fall. She coached summer camps throughout high school and helped coach at Sacred Heart Schools in Chicago.
Outside of sports, Rachel enjoys cooking, reading, traveling, and hanging out with her friends on the shores of Chicago.
